Oak has the extremely heavy bone structure sought after in this breed where head, neck, shoulders, and especially front legs and paws are thick and massive. His temperament matches his name. He is as sturdy, steady, and unyielding as an oak beam. Although occasionally playful with other dogs, he is very calm and gentle around people. Oak is very affectionate with his family and friends and he always wants to earn a solid pat on the head. However, this gentle giant can quickly turn into an unstoppable beast when he senses a threat. He has no fear and only quits when the threat has been eliminated.
